Seul bémol, le logiciel et la documentation, je détaille plus liin.
Le top c’est que par défaut elle ne détecte que les humains (j’ai 2 chats ....) ce qui est presque toujours proposé avec l’option IA cloud chez les autres fabriquants.
Au regard des autres commentaires il faut effectivement créer un compte sur le cloud cococam pour pouvoir configurer la camera mais c'est le seul moyen pour pouvoir faire le lien entre l’application sur votre téléphone et la caméra lorsque vous n’êtes plus en WiFi local !
La camera qui m’à été livrée présentait un défaut d’image, alternance image normale image orange ... Un simple mail au support Cococam avec un extrait vidéo et le lendemain une nouvelle caméra m’était expédiée, totalement fonctionnelle cette fois ci, sans avoir à retourner la première. En prime une carte sd 128go en cadeau, merci Joey 😉.
Pourquoi une étoile en moins ?
Autant la caméra est top, autant l’application laisse à désirer.
Le mode d’emploi fourni est bon pour la configuration initiale de la caméra en revanche il est très succinct voir sans information pour la configuration avancée, les nombreux paramètres, l’ajout un 2eme utilisateur, etc...Le mode d’emploi complet à télécharger sur le site de Cococam d’apporte pas grand chose de plus.
Du surcroît l’application Cococam est buggée sur mon Samsung A15 dernière version UI et Android 15, pas possible d’accéder au menu de configuration de la détection intelligente.
La encore le support a été très réactif, Joey m’a demander d’installer l’application cloudedge dispo sur le playstore à la place de cococam.
L’accès au fameux menu est depuis possible pour paramètrer la détection. Malheureusement encore un défaut et là pas de solution de la part de Joey pour definir la zone de détection sur l’image filmée, l’outil ne permet de dessiner qu’une forme à 4 côtés et donc par exemple on ne peut pas exclure un triangle dans un angle du rectangle de l’image.

Globalement je reste quand-même ravi du produit ! Un petit effort sur la documentation et le logiciel et ce sera le meilleur pour le prix !
Once the item arrived I read the box then removed the contents. There was the cam, solar panel, 2 different types of mounts, hardware, usb to 1.5v charging cord to charge the cam when the solar panel cannot be used, and a small card about the solar panel. To get the main instructions there is a link to get the app for the unit with instructions.
Charging of the unit was rather quick as it had lots of charge already and mounting the cam is simple as well. Be very mindful where you are going to mount it as you need direct sun for the solar panel for charging. Using the app is pretty straight forward and has lots' of features for the cam. The quality of the video is really good and the tilt and pan features work great. I do wish the screen did not get blurry when zooming in on something at a distance but it is fine for things nearby. The night vision on it is really good as well and the additional light the cam gives off helps. Battery life of the unit is amazing especially when using the solar panel.
Overall this is a great cam setup that has every feature you could need. Highly recommend it.
It is a high-quality device with a robust and sleek feel, although it is a little on the bulky side. Some good consideration has been given to weather-proofing as part of the design; all of the connection ports have a well-functioning rubber seal.
I would say that it is easy to install, and placement can be quite flexible, thanks to the generous cable length of the included solar panel. You can essentially place it wherever you feel the sun will catch it most, and it has a good surface area to do so.
Setting up the camera with the app was really difficult for me, unfortunately. I followed the on-screen instructions to the letter, yet the device would never seem to pair. After a few attempts, I eventually set it down, as I felt I was getting nowhere (I kept receiving error messages about the pairing failure). However, I was surprised to receive a 'motion detected' notification on my phone - it had somehow paired, after all!
Once all of that was out of the way, I felt that the app itself was user-friendly, giving me a plethora of controls to work with.
In terms of video quality, I could definitely see a difference between 'SD' and 'HD', though 'HD' looked a touch over-sharpened. The colour reproduction was fairly good, and there was a wide field of view - the FOV controls also allowed me to see most angles of my garden. The camera also performed well in night mode.
Sometimes, I think the connection between my WiFi and the camera can be somewhat patchy, but, any motion detection events have been sent to my phone within a reasonably short amount of time.
Of recent, there has been quite a lot of sunshine, and so the solar panel has kept the camera topped up - this is ideal, rather than having to take it down to charge every so often.
In summary, a good value item.
I'd recommend this for homeowners wanting decent security without spending too much. It's particularly good for areas without power access since the solar panel seems effective even in cloudy conditions - the battery drops to about 60% overnight but recharges during the day. The free basic 6-second cloud storage for alerts is handy, though my 16GB SD card is filling quickly, so you might want larger storage if recording continuously.
Theft is a common employment alternative requiring little skill or intellect, relying predominantly on boldness and lack of intervention. Several discouraging elements are available to discourage frolicsome mischief and other undesirable activity. One is the authorities, who infrequently respond expeditiously to any active violations, and even if they did, policies often make such service redundant. Yet another would be a dog. And I mean a DOG. A Rottweiler, a Dogo Argentino, and if you really want to scare someone, a Pug. Third, you can procure a surveillance camera… Yet a FOURTH option is…quite a bit more fun. Especially the look on the perpetrators face when they realize that the police won’t respond expeditiously and if they did, their service would be redundant.
Which options have I elected as my security detail? No, not the police. I already have a Rottweiler (he's a good boy). No, it wasn’t fire ants but great concept if implemented inventively (could conflict with Rottweiler and its immediate family). Indeed, it was a camera since the pair of TP-Link Tapo’s I bought for my parents are remarkably entertaining and, more importantly, competent in performing the intended task of surveillance. Specifically, I obtained the wireless COCOCAM WiFi Security Camera with 10000mAh Battery and 8W Solar Panel. The camera boasts a 2K resolution and panning PTZ 355 degree pan and 90 degree tilt, 2.4Gz WiFi connection, night vision, a solar panel as well as 10000 mAh battery for a completely wireless composition. That's quite the yolk in such a small egg shell. Let’s see if it hatches when warmed up. The following diatribe is intended for future consumers. You're welcome.
So, what do we receive in this choir? A camera, luckily, as promised. It comes paired with a solar panel with USB-C connector, additional USB-A to USB-C power cable, mounting screws, mounting bracket, screw plugs, some literature providing instruction for installation and setup. I highly suggest you make use of the installation guide to mentor your setup procedure and diminish expenditure of time. The camera itself is shaped like a white, boiled egg with an unsavory blemish from its cap. This protrusion is the critical optical lens and LED light housing at the bottom of which are the SD card slot, power and reset buttons protected by a rubber insert. The neck extends rearward and connects to mounting bracket with four screw perforations which allow mounting from a ceiling/roof or on a wall. The design so far makes the camera look robotic and unpleasant, much like a science fiction film antagonist. Flanking the domed camera are the devices softer features, the dual Wi-Fi antennas, reminiscent of a soft fluffy bunny’s ears. A circular bracket is provided for the solar panel which is rectangular in shape, with a black panel array on the front face and mounting bracket holes at the rear. No further description is warranted for such a simple silhouette.
The camera. It’s fairly capable. This CC-ZY-G6-WF model is 3MP which provides a resolution of 2304x1296 pixels. Not a clear image by any standard. Its incorporation of the pan (355°) and tilt (90°) enables a broader security perimeter. Various vision modes allow capturing footage in thermal, colour night vision with the activation of the light and full colour when the white light activates upon detecting motion. Tracking is also available with notifications sent directly to a paired mobile device via Wi-Fi. Data retention is obtained through one of two mechanisms, including direct cloud through a subscription, or onto an SD Card of up to 128GB, my preferred option. I'd rather not voluntarily submit personal information to any company’s dedicated storage, if you know what I mean. So it’s great that COCOCAM supports hardware storage, as minuscule as it may be. Wi-Fi signal is procured through the solitary 2.4GHz band. Rock N' Roll!
Operation. Quite easy, actually. Simply mount the camera strategically on the outside of your home within an acceptable periphery where surveillance is most required. Using the correlating CloudEdge (Via COCOCAM app) software, link the camera to your mobile phone or tablet and proceed through the guidance setup/registration process. I will refrain from reciting the entire procedure which can be found in the supplied instruction manual and prompts during software installation/registration. Once everything is connected, both hardware and software, all actions can be manipulated conveniently using your mobile device. I did say it was easy, but I meant in theory. Connecting this monster was anything but simplified.

I seemed to have lost the firmware update activation after seeing it initially but I did locate the Advanced Service which allows activation of Alexa and Google Assistant. You'll have to play with it yourself if you want an exhaustive functionality repertoire. I have no more patience for further annotation. There's simply too much.
Performance. I find the performance lacking brand name counterparts, such as those from TP-Link, for example. Resolution is fine for the purpose but clarity STILL does not allow identification of features and information pertinent to the authorities at range. Barely manages no distance at all. Retaining the data is also an immense bonus, allowing replays of activity deemed suspicious or, as I’m always inclined to execute…pure fun. I’ll periodically review what’s happening outside from the comfort of my desk chair, aware of my neighbours return from coffee shops, when other neighbours cats return from their hunts and what rodent will be gifted for their service as a provider of lodging, and so on and so forth.
The value of this $70 CAD unit is quite competitive. Despite its 360° panning ability it is still limited by structures which obscure range. I plan on mounting this unit on the side of the home, which will permit vigilance of the entire front yard and a portion of the rear yard, but a portion of the rear yard will remain obscured by the house structure itself. A second camera, completing a full surveillance network between the yards has already been mounted. Now we know what fauna respites in our quarter. Usually birds and squirrels, but I hope to image the neighbourhood fox on my camera. She's adorable.
In conclusion, FINALLY, I can relay this camera is good. It’s far from perfect but for the price accommodating the numerous adaptations greatly increase its capability and the user’s ability to observe all the action in their homes proximity. Even when you’re not actively engaged in passive espionage, the interface notifies you of motion so you are able to investigate whenever you desire or feel something is amiss. Like your dog smuggling your bacon sandwich out into the yard for consumption. And when infrared vision is active the cameras eyes turn red like the Eye of Sauron. Very intimidating. Like a Rottweiler. Which just pinched my bacon.
Some things to consider are the hardware resolution zoom, incapable of 2.5K quality capture. On the software side, there are few complaints aside from the ability to alter the appearance of the interface. This software also requires iOS 9 or Android 5.0 or newer versions so if you're not up to date, you may actually need a new mobile device. Lastly, I find the quality of the camera to under-perform. Despite a resolution of 2304x1296, it actually DOES NOT provide a clearer representation than expected.
Given the lower pricing it is very competitive to brand name contenders, hence some loss of resolution is counterbalanced. That is precisely how you can rationalize purchasing a cheaper product. One thing I CANNOT confirm is the quality. Build quality establishes this model as laudable, however, a much longer test is required to affirm its longevity/vitality. The CloudEdge software is quite well optimized and has good reviews (4.5/5) confirming customer satisfaction. The panning/tilting camera is also quite small, I find, when compared to others aiding its concealment.

Marque COCOCAM AOV wifi, elle est facile à mettre en place même pour quelqu’un comme moi qui n’est pas un expert.
La caméra enregistre 24h/24 et 7j/7, même quand il ne se passe rien, elle prend une image toutes les 2 secondes et si quelque chose d’anormal arrive, elle se déclenche rapidement et enregistre une vraie image en 0,2 seconde.
Je peux choisir les zones à surveiller et je reçois une notification directement sur mon téléphone dès qu’il y a un mouvement suspect.
L’alarme sonore et lumineuse est très pratique pour faire fuir si besoin.
La vision nocturne est vraiment claire, la caméra reconnaît les formes humaines et les suit automatiquement, je trouve ça utile pour ne pas être dérangé par des alertes inutiles, comme le passage d’un animal ou d’un véhicule.
J’ai aussi la possibilité de parler à "travers" la caméra, je peux parler à un livreur par exemple, le son est bon, des deux côtés.
Grâce au panneau solaire, je n’ai pas besoin de la recharger, elle le fait toute seul grâce au soleil.
Elle tient très bien dehors même sous la pluie.
La qualité d’image est excellente, avec la résolution 3MP je vois les détails clairement.
Je peux tourner la caméra à distance à gauche à droite en haut ou en bas, cela me permet de surveiller une grande zone autour de ma maison, je peux aussi enregistrer les vidéos sur une carte mémoire (il faut l’acheter à part)
Elle fait tout ce que je cherche : elle surveille en continu, elle réagit vite, elle envoie des alertes utiles, et je peux l’utilise sans prise électrique grâce au panneau solaire.
Je la recommande à tous ceux qui veulent protéger leur maison ou leur jardin facilement.

Ce qui manque a cette camera est un mode prive et de pouvoir faire une zone de détection et la possibilité de d'afficher 2 camera sur le meme ecrant.
Sinon niveau détection correcte chaque personne qui passe par la terrasse je reçoit une notification d'alerte
Il y a un stockage cloud de 6 seconde sans abonnement.
Et sinon le plus est le panneaux solaires fournie avec qui fonctionnement vraiment bien. Même sans soleil avec nuage et gris il recharge correctement la caméra.
