So, a few things which I noticed which are worth bearing in mind are as follows:
1. You need a SIM card to utilise the full functionality of the camera - to record or save footage.
2. You cannot access the camera from outside the home (i.e. at work) unless you are connected to the internet via Cloud or Google services which you need to set up on your camera device as well as on your phone.
3. This is an indoor camera only and cannot be placed outside as it is not designed for this.
4. Only one mobile phone can be connected to the software for monitoring the camera which I feel is a great disadvantage if several members of the same household want to access the footage.
5. You cannot point the camera outside a window to see who is coming in through the door *
* Further to the last point. We did not want the camera to record our movement inside the house, so we thought it would be a good idea to position it to point out the window towards the back door. Our kitchen window has very clear glass and a great view of the back door and we thought this would be useful. During the day I was able to observe my daughter moving around outside in real time by viewing the real time monitoring while I was home (using wi-fi connection), and was able to capture a snapshot through the window. However, when I checked the software for movement, I noticed that the camera had not picked up any movement all day, and did not send a text notification. It simply did not notice or pick up anything. My husband mentioned that the infrared signal from the camera was most likely bouncing back from the glass window as though it were a solid object. He said that an infrared signature is essentially a heat profile. The PIR sensor cannot "see" through glass because this signature cannot travel through it.
So, for me this camera is useful up to a point but an outside security camera would be better for our needs. However, the camera is good quality and fairly easy to get working and would be beneficial as a baby or children home monitor.
The instructions say you can download the app either through the app store or through the QR code in the instruction booklet.
I used the Apple app store to find the app - the first option is 'Hidden Camera Tracker' which sounds like it's the one you need, but it isn't, the SECOND option 'Cococam' is the correct one, but it takes quite a few minutes to download, using the QR code in the instruction booklet takes seconds, but both take you to the same place.
OK, so apart from the app issue, what do I think?
The camera is small and neat, it's very unobtrusive and feels sturdy, build quality is good - it doesn't topple over and would sit comfortable on any flat surface and it's supplied with a charging cable. Since it doesn't have an IP rating it's clearly only for indoor use, so if it's to be used in a bathroom, kitchen or laundry room that may be problematic which is something worth considering. It's good to go out of the box - it needs charging fully first but once the app is downloaded it's ready to use in its basic mode. To unlock the full functionality of the camera you need to have a paid plan - this seems to be the way with a lot of these cameras which I don't like.
The instructions are ok, and pretty much as I expect for a device of this type. I didn't find it as intuitive as others I've tried, but that may just be me! I was able to move the camera around easily enough using the app, it was pretty responsive and there was very little time lag, but then I was very close to the camera. I do like that it's almost 360° rotation and 90° tilt is pretty decent. Images are crisp and clear and sound quality is good.
There is the facility to store up 10 128GB of video but disappointingly it doesn't come with an SD card, but they're easy and cheap enough to source.
This is a decent camera of its type, but I don't think it's anything special.
At £49.99 (as at 12 November 2024) this is about the price I'd expect to pay for a camera of this type.
De plus, j'ai un problème : la vision de la caméra est rose maintenant. Ça l'a fait deux jours après la première utilisation. C'est embêtant.
Je suis équipée avec l'application CloudEdge, mais c'est impossible à ajouter cette caméra, j'ai tout essayé, mais rien à faire, le voyant commence à clignoter en bleu puis alterner en rouge et bleu, puis le jumelage s'arrête..
Aucun problème avec Cococam, qui ressemble beaucoup à l'application CloudEdge pourtant.
Avec Cococam, cette caméra fonctionne bien.
La caméra est livrée avec un câble USB (elle fonctionne sans fil, c'est pour recharger), et une notice seulement, et je suis très étonnée de voir aucun support dedans (en dessous de la caméra, il y a des possibilités d'avoir des fixations, à visser ou à clipser…). Mais cette caméra fonctionne bien posée sur la table ou le meuble. Orientable (sur le plateau) et inclinable (l'optique qui bascule et non la caméra), commandable via l'appli.
Size wise I like it's a bit more narrow than a lot that are rounded, as you can put this in a lot more places. Price is really good as well.
However it does have couple setbacks, as you can't see really high up (doesn't cover whole 360) or down, and if you have a huge contrast in the colour nearby during night time view it will impact whether you see what else there is in the room. For example my cat has white tummy so when she heards the camera moving, if it's night-time everything else will go black in the background, so I need to set this higher up.
This is approved by my cat so I'm still happy with it!
Motion detection works and while you need to subscribe to Cococam's service for web recording and AI analysis, basic functions like human detection, defining zones of interest, etc all work without needing to pay anything.
Battery life seems like it's going to be ok. I've put it into a medium traffic part of my house and in the last five days, it's registered 293 motion events which has used 15% of the battery. And I know this because the app has a very nice statistics section. Also keep in mind that I've been playing with the camera to test it so I'm confident the usage would be a little lower if I just left it alone.
Now for the things I didn't like. Connection time to view a recording is quite high at 20-30 seconds and it took three attempts to format the brand new microSD card I put in it. Once formatted, I tried reformatting it a few more times and it worked perfectly and there haven't been any issues with the recordings so I'll reserve judgement on whether that was an issue with the card or the camera.
I got this to use in addition to our regular security cameras for keeping an eye on our highly strung cat while I'm away for a week and I'm confident that the battery is going to easily last until I get back so despite one or two little niggles, I'm more than satisfied with the product.
The best aspect of this device is the quality hardware, the long battery life, the fact that it can be placed anywhere, and all the features, even though there’s a bit of a learning curve and fiddling around on the app.
I love the fact that you can use it wirelessly although i have noticed more than once that when unplugging it from the cord, it lags/freezes and takes a few seconds to get back to live feed again.
Unfortunately it appears as though you cant have it recording constantly like other indoor security cameras on the market, but if you just wanted it for its motion detection and not constant recording, it works excellently for that. The pan and tilt function is really good too and easy to use. The audio quality is not the best, it sounds fairly muffled, you'd really have to raise your voice for the camera to pick it up clearly.
But if you could set it to record all day/all night, i would have rated 5 stars.
Was mir wirklich gut gefällt (Pros)
Fangen wir mal mit dem Akku an: Der hat 5200 mAh und hält echt ewig. Ich muss sie nicht ständig aufladen, was super praktisch ist, weil sie so wirklich überall im Raum stehen kann, ohne dass ich ein Kabel ziehen muss. Die Kamera kann damit wohl bis zu 5000 Bewegungen erkennen, bevor der Akku leer ist – das ist schon eine Ansage!
Die Schwenk- und Neigefunktion ist genial. Mit 355° horizontal und 90° vertikal sehe ich wirklich jeden Winkel des Raumes. Das ist perfekt, wenn ich mal schnell den Blickwinkel ändern will, ohne die Kamera umzustellen.
Die Bildqualität ist mit 3MP (2304*1296) wirklich kristallklar. Egal ob tagsüber oder nachts, ich kann alles super erkennen. Und apropos Nachtsicht: Selbst bei absoluter Dunkelheit sehe ich dank der Infrarot-Nachtsicht bis zu 20 Meter weit.
Die Zwei-Wege-Audiofunktion ist auch eine tolle Sache. Ich kann darüber mit meinen Kindern sprechen oder auch mal den Hund rufen, wenn ich nicht zu Hause bin. Die Gegensprechfunktion funktioniert einwandfrei.
Sehr praktisch finde ich auch die einstellbaren Alarmeinstellungen. Ich kann genau festlegen, welche Bereiche überwessen werden sollen und wann ein Alarm ausgelöst wird. Das speichert die Kamera entweder auf einer TF-Karte (bis zu 128 GB) – die muss man aber separat kaufen – oder in der Cloud. Für 6 Sekunden und 7 Tage Schleifenaufnahme ist der Cloud-Speicher sogar kostenlos, was für einen kurzen Blick schon mal reicht.
Die KI-Analyse ist ein nettes Extra. Die PIR-Personenerkennung funktioniert zuverlässig, und wenn man ein kostenpflichtiges Abo abschließt, erkennt sie sogar Fahrzeuge, Haustiere oder Paketlieferungen. Das hab ich noch nicht ausprobiert, aber die Basis-Personenerkennung ist schon mal top.
Die Verbindung mit meinem Handy ist nahtlos, egal ob Android oder iOS. Ich kann von überall aus zugreifen und alles steuern. Und dass sie mit Alexa und Google Assistant kompatibel ist, macht die Bedienung noch bequemer.
Was man bedenken sollte (Contras)
Es gibt natürlich auch ein paar Kleinigkeiten, die ich erwähnen möchte. Ein interner Speicher wäre schön gewesen; so muss man wirklich eine Micro-SD-Karte kaufen, wenn man nicht nur auf die Cloud setzen will.
Der Cloud-Speicher ist zwar eine gute Option, aber wenn man mehr als die kostenlose Basisversion möchte, wird es kostenpflichtig. Das sollte man im Hinterkopf behalten.
Manchmal empfinde ich die Reaktion der Kamera als etwas träge, wenn ich den Blickwinkel ändere oder live ins Bild schaue. Es ist keine Verzögerung, die mich wirklich stört, aber es fällt auf.
Die eingebaute Sirene ist zwar vorhanden, aber sie ist leiser als erwartet. Wenn ich damit wirklich Einbrecher abschrecken wollte, wäre sie mir vielleicht nicht laut genug.
Und ganz wichtig: Man braucht ein 2,4G WLAN-Netzwerk für die Einrichtung. Viele moderne Router nutzen mittlerweile 5G, also müsst ihr darauf achten, dass euer Router auch 2,4G unterstützt.
Mein Fazit
Alles in allem bin ich mit der COCOCAM 2K Kamera sehr zufrieden. Sie bietet eine Menge Funktionen für den Preis, besonders die Akkulaufzeit und die flexible Positionierung überzeugen mich. Wenn man die kleinen Nachteile im Kopf hat, ist sie eine tolle Option für die Heimüberwachung.

Dopo qualche settimana di utilizzo posso dire che per il momento sono pienamente soddisfatto, la batteria integrata dura tantissimo, è arrivata con un autonomia dell’87% e dopo tre settimane era ancora al 19%. Devo anche ammettere che l’ho utilizzata abbastanza sopratutto per testarla. A mio avviso con una ricarica completa e con un moderato utilizzo può arrivare ad un autonomia anche di un paio di mesi.
La qualità non si discute, ha una buona risoluzione, e la modalità notturna è eccellente.
C’è anche la possibilità di acquistare un supporto a parete per chi ne abbia la necessità
L’App è molto intuitiva e semplice da configurare, i servizi di notifiche ed Allert sono personalizzabili.
Utilizzata senza scheda SD memorizza sul cloud gratuitamente circa 10s di video, può essere aumentato con un piano a pagamento con personalizzazioni aggiuntive.
We've only had a pet for a short while (about 6 months) and since we're working from home - there's never really been a time where she's been on her own for a prolonged period of time. We now were faced with having to travel for 5 days and with all pet hotels being fully booked due to summer holidays, we arranged for our neighbour to watch her.
We're not very familiar with our neighbour (yet) - as we've only lived here for about a year - so we wanted to get a camera for three reasons:
- To see the pet's state of mind during prolonged time on their own
- To ensure the neighbour did indeed check up/come by to feed and interact
- To confirm nothing would be taken from my home
With premium services you can add AI-detection whether it's a human or a pet passing by (and you have additional options such as parcels and such as well - but haven't been able to test these as they're not within my usage scope), and you can select which types of detection start an automated recording. This has worked well for me. I had it pointed so that both my entryway is visible, as well as where my pet accesses her favourite spots to sleep.
I had triggers whenever my neighbour entered and left my property - I could clearly see what they were holding when coming in and leaving, even though the entry was technically in a different room. Visibility is clear both on regular vision and night vision. I also had triggers whenever my pet entered or left the room.
Less clear I think is the quality of the microphone. The clarity of the microphone is only decent in very near proximity of the device, and becomes a lot less audible / understandable when the sound comes from further away. But, that is obviously not a main feature of a camera - but should be kept in mind if you are trying to monitor your pet meowing/barking excessively while you're away, as I don't think this may be picked up at all times.
I've kept it plugged in to power this time as I was away for 5 days, but I had noticed while testing it prior to leaving that it would go for several days without needing a charge.
It is easy to connect - but I would recommend removing the QR-code sticker from the device, as otherwise anyone who enters your property can simply set this up on their own phone as well.
Overall I didn't want to spend a lot of money as this was a trial thing - this camera so far is exceeding expectations on what I've paid for it, and I was also approached by the Customer Support with the offer of either a free SD-card (128GB) or a wall-mount. I've chosen the SD-card, it arrived swiftly and works perfectly.
Le paramétrage est rapide. En usage, la caméra est réactive.
Côté autonomie, après quelques semaines sans détection, la batterie est encore à moitié pleine, ce qui est franchement bien.
Au final, cette caméra rivalise avec mes Eufy en termes de qualité d’image et gagne des points côté praticité avec sa batterie. Elle enregistre sur carte SD ou dans le cloud.
Elles sont pas trop grandes et surtout sans fil. Depuis l'application, images parfaites et très correctes dans la pénombre. Les alertes sur le téléphone portable fonctionnent parfaitement. On peut aussi enregistrer / faire des photos. Les cameras visionnent sur commande tous mes accès extérieurs. Je vais acheter des cartes SD pour ne pas payer le clound. En attendant, il y a un espace milité mais gratuit. Je suis vraiment contente de mes achats et je serai dorénavant rassurée lorsque je m'absenterai.
Je ne sais pas encore par contre combien de temps en jours tient la batterie des caméras. Plus qu'à tester !
Peu encombrante, on peut la poser un un meuble pour la surveillance de bébé lorsqu'il dort.
La mettre sur un trépied pour surveiller l'entrée d'une maison pendant une absence.
Dotée d'une batterie interne, elle a une très bonne autonomie.
Elle ne demande aucun soin particulier.
Nombreuses possibilités de réglages.
Personnellement, j'ai inséré une mini carte SD pour mémoriser la surveillance de on entrée.
Elle est posée sur un trépied non fourni et je peux avec son objectif la faire pivoter et ainsi surveiller d'un bout à l'autre le couloir central. Elle fait très bien son travail.
Je recommande cette caméra ainsi que toutes les caméras de surveillance de cette marque.
LE GROS PLUS : très très bon service après-vente. RAPIDE ET COURTOIS.
Laissez vous tenter, ça vaut vraiment la peine. Ma maison est entièrement équipée de caméras COCOCAM. Très bon rapport qualité prix.
Je suis époustouflé par la qualité de la vidéo et par le fait de pouvoir dialoguer directement en live.
De plus une carte SD m’a gentiment été offerte.
C’est ma première caméra et je me demande pourquoi je n’ai pas investi plus tôt surtout au vue du prix.

J'ai attendu plusieurs semaines avant de donner un avis, et je dois dire que pour le prix, cette caméra est top : bonne image, vision nocturne très correcte, possibilité de parler via la cam à distance (le son est médiocre, mais c'est pas pour ça qu'on l'achète), possibilité de faire tourner la caméra sur 180°, et de regarder vers le haut ou le bas (ce qui permet de la repositionner correctement même si on a oublié de le faire en sortant de chez soi), appli complète... Il y a peut-être encore mieux, rapport qualité/prix, mais je n'ai pas trouvé...
Une carte SD peut être placée pour enregistrer les beaux moments de l'enfant par rapport le stockage jusqu’à 120Go .
C'est dommage car c'est pour cette raison que je l'ai acheté .
Pour le reste la qualité vidéo et audio son bonnes , l'infrarouge fonctionne très bien , l'application est facile d'utilisation .

Elle n'a pas de batterie, et nécessite une connexion USB pour l'alimentation, un transformateur est fourni avec un câble de 2M.
Il faut télécharger l'application COCOCAM (non compatible smartlife) pour la visualisation et l'enregistrement.
Dans l'ensemble l'image est bonne et fluide.
La caméra est compatible ALEXA.
À recommander pour utilisation seule, car ne pourra pas être intégrée dans un système avec serveur d'enregistrement type Synology.
Cette caméra est simplissime à mettre en œuvre !
On télécharge l'application COCOCAM App, on l'ouvre, on ajoute la caméra, on la connecte au WiFi de son choix et on la paramètre.
Cette caméra est motorisée, pilotable depuis le portable, capable de suivre le mouvement fonctionner jusqu'à 5 Mégapixels, filme de jour comme de nuit (4 diodes infrarouges). Après ajout d'une carte microSD, elle peut enregistrer à distance ou se déclencher en sauvegarder aux mouvements captés.
C'est le genre de prestations que l'on voit habituellement sur du matériel bien plus coûteux !!!

Sur le logiciel vous avez la possibilité d'afficher les vues des différentes caméra avec la possibilité de passer de l'une à l'autre et ainsi de pouvoir agir (pilotage haut/bas Gauche/Droite, lecture des vidéo si vous mettez une carte SD ou sur le cloud, éteindre la caméra (mode vie privée).....
Un grand merci au service de la marque qui est à l'écoute et qui m'a fait parvenir une carte SD par caméra, c'est un geste très sympa.
En bref et après une semaine d'utilisation elles sont de bonne qualité l'image est bonne (bon quand on zoom on à de la perte mais c'est pareil pour les concurrentes) aucune perte de connexion, petites et discrètes).
Petit point négatif la possibilité d'éteindre les caméra sur la page principale, et pas de possibilité de mémoriser des points de vue, a voir dans les prochaines mise a jour
